Meet the sweetest pair ever, Paul Robertson and his cat Percy who love each other more than anything. Paul is a truck drive that loves driving but it can get lonely on the long trips on the road. So a few years ago Paul decided to adopt a cat named Howie to become his companion on the road. Sadly, Howie left this world in 2017 and Robertson was left with a huge void in his heart.AWWWWWW, that cat’s eyes when he first got him DID look sad. So nice to see him be loved and so nice for the lonely truck driver too. I think every truck driver should be driving with a little kitchenette so they can cook themselves good food, a stair climber in their little compartment and a travel companion animal cat , dog etc… <3 I feel for truckers. It’s a sedentary lonely job, it takes it’s toll on the body. A few years on a motoring holiday I came across a German truck driver, at a remote gas station in south eastern Romania, with a cat in his cab, it was also a ginger. He told me the story of how he picked it up as a kitten out of a garbage bin in Bucharest, where it had been dumped with his brothers and sisters who had all starved to death, and had been with him ever since. He lived in his truck permanently delivering aircraft parts to all corners of the EU. He had a bed made on the dashboard of his truck where the cat spent endless hours lying in the sun. I’d like to think that somewhere in the EU right now he’s parked up watching the sun set with his cat friend.
